Matthew is back running his SportMod which just a little bit of a new look.  Jacob has moved up to the Hobby Stock and I think both are ready to race.

We had our first practice yesterday at Hutchinson Speedway.  I've never seen dust like that before.  The wind was terrible and the water main broke, so they couldn't put down enough water.  Not a good track to practice on with those conditions but we were able to work out problems with both cars.  Jacob seemed to have a problem with the transmission that the boys are still trying to figure out.  It seems Matthew's seatbelts were installed backwards.  There was a problem with the air bubble.  We just had a lot of little stuff that will be great to have fixed before the first race.

Great-Grandma Effie, Grandpa Brandt and Uncle Rich traveled down for the day to see the practice and Rylee and Kim came along.  So, it was great to all be together and to see Jacob out for the first time in the Hobby Stock.  In the short time we were there, he just kept improving.  Just needs seat time now.  If you are going to learn to swim, you jump in the water.  So, Jacob will be jumping in for his first race at Wakeeney on Sunday, April 10.  And, as we all decided yesterday, this season, we are "going to have fun damn it!"  LOL.  Our new slogan for the year.
