August 21 - Made the long drive to Goodland because Matthew is first in track points there and working towards the track championship.  Unfortunately, Dodge City also ran but we have missed several races there.

As always, there is a lot of work that goes on during the week nights to get ready for the next weekend.  Even though Matthew had already ran the values, he decided to do it again because he just didn't like the way something looked.  Sure enough, he found another bent rocker arm stud. 

Then he went on to win his heat race and to lead all but the last two laps of the feature.  When you are leading, it is hard to figure out the faster line of the track, so when he was passed on the outside with two to go, there wasn't much he could do.  He brought in a second and did some good points racing maintaining his lead at the track.

The weather was even cold enough by feature time that we had to put some jackets on!  The only race of the weekend, so we actually managed to get home and mow the lawn!
