September 12 - Jacob returns to 81 Speedway and a pretty tough track to race on.  Yes, it had rained all week yet there didn't seem to be a lot of prep work on the track on anyone running it in.  In fact, it was the last race of the night before anyone was racing.  The track was one lane and super slick if you got out of the one lane.  Jacob did a fine job avoiding two spins in front of him.  He came on strong at the end passing two cars at the line to take 5th place.  Since he had to start in the back, that was a good finish.  We were proud of him to jump in and do so well racing against boys that have gotten to race every single week all year.  Jacob is being very patient for his turn to race, but he obviously ready.  He clearly enjoys racing more than any other sport. 

They had an intermission after his race and brought additional modifieds on the track for the fans to view.  Jacob signed a lot of autographs again - frisbees and t-shirts.  While Matthew has had more driving time, Jacob has definitely signed more autographs!

Friday we return to Hays at RPM Speedway for Fan Appreciation Night.  Only $5 to attend the races and $1 for beer!
Saturday we return to 81 Speedway.
