June 4, 2009 - Jacob made it three second place finishes in a row Thursday night.  He just couldn't get a pass for first.  He worked his way up to third place and dived low to avoid a two car wreck.  Next, the second place car made a small mistake, but it was enough for Jacob to make his move and pass for second.  He drove very smooth and patient the rest of the race.  If the first place car made a mistake, Jacob would have been in a position to get around him.  Otherwise, the track conditions were not great for passing.  He wouldn't really have an opportunity the rest of the race.

Matthew's friends showed up and we had a pretty full cheering section for Jacob.  I hope they had fun.  It was a beautiful evening and the weather was perfect.  I'm not sure why it was a one groove track tonight.  It was really slick up high.

We were impressed with Jacob's driving.  He is definitely a smooth, clean driver.
